Accessibility at SeaSpace

Our aim is to make SeaSpace as accessible as possible for all of our guests.

We have an automatic sliding entrance door from the car park and during the refurbishment project, we’ve looked to improve the overall access to the site where possible.

Both our lobby and gym welcome area will be fitted with under-counter hearing loops. We will also have a portable loop unit which can be used across the various communal spaces.

All guests can access our strong and stable WIFI connection.

We have a range of seating options at different heights to ensure comfortable seating for all.

Our team has undertaken training to improve their knowledge and understanding of accessibility.

Bedrooms

We have 3 accessible apartments which have fully accessible bathrooms including a shower chair and grab rails. These are located at the front of SeaSpace with a garden view. The kitchen work surfaces are standard height.

Our accessible studio and two large accessible studios are available to book online.

Pool & gym

Both the swimming pool and gym are fully accessible with accessible changing areas. We have a mobile pool hoist (down lifting with weight 28 seconds, uplifting with weight 22 seconds).

Restaurant & café

All our food and drink spaces are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible including toilet facilities.

Activities

We work with Wavehunters, based at the Extreme Academy, Watergate Bay. Wavehunters work in collaboration with Coastal Crusaders who provide accessible surf lessons.
