Jen Madden creative takeover @ SeaSpace
Laptops down, pens up. This October half term, Irish artist, author, and teacher Jen Madden is taking over SeaSpace for a weekend of live sketching, casual café drop-ins, and a proper grown-up sip & draw. Whether you haven't picked up a pencil since school or you’re a total pro, swing by, grab a drink, and get stuck in.
Live drawing in the café
Watch Jen turn everyday SeaSpace moments—striped pool towels, coffee cups, sunglasses, and the checkerboard pool—into a collection of bespoke illustrations. Pull up a chair, grab a flat white, check out her book on display, and chat techniques while she sketches.

You can draw this workshop
Jen sets up camp in the café with stack of pens, paper, and pro-grade materials for an open, easygoing creative session. Drop in between beach trips, grab a matcha, and let her show you how to turn everyday objects into cool art.

Sundown sip & draw
Drinks from Tallo in hand, zero-judgment vibes, and total creative freedom. Jen leads a 90-minute session of playful drawing experiments and guided still-life creations. Bring a favourite oddity from home or pick from Jen’s stash of vintage cameras, fresh botanicals, and curiosities. £10 per person.

Meet Jen Madden
Jen Madden holds a BA in Fine Art Painting from Limerick School of Art & Design. After years spent teaching art and building her online Drawing Club (which now has over 37,000 members), she released her bestselling book You Can Draw This.
Known for her collaborations with boutique coastal stays, Jen's entire ethos centers on demystifying drawing—turning everyday moments, morning coffees, and travel treasures into art, and proving and proving that having a go is way more important than natural talent.
